For several decades, Cabot Square in Montreal has been a gathering place for indigenous people, especially inuit. In the last few years, the square has been the subject of a cleaning operation, a constant addition of police presence, and since the move of Open Door shelter, 14 people have died, mostly indigenous women.”
7 days a week, Resilience Montreal will be open to anyone off the street, in an effort to decrease the recently high crime rates in Cabot Square and offer people a safe, supportive, environment to spend their time.
