Experience: minimum of 2 years’ experience in frontline social services.
Education Requirement: Completion of collegial DEC and or university

Description of Anne’s House
Anne’s House is a social housing residence (part of Nazareth Community) offering affordable apartments for 30 women. These women are individuals who have suffered with homelessness and or risk of homelessness, mental health issues and victims of conjugal violence. The residence allows for autonomous living with additional supportive programs to help with reinsertion back into the community.
Description of Position:
Anne’s House is looking for an outreach worker to expand help, build connections for street women. Someone who is able to take initiatives, and work autonomously. We are looking for someone who can respond appropriately during a crisis intervention and work with a vulnerable community. A strong understanding of community resources in the greater Montreal area, specifically that caters to women. Worker must be able to verbally communicate in French and English. Must have a valid Quebec driver’s license. (vehicle provided)
Tasks and responsibilities
- Provide active listening and support to women experiencing homelessness
- Distribute information on services available
- Serve as liaisons between the street women and the agencies providing the social services.
- Maintain and contribute to active and professional records and counselling notes and meetings with Nazareth Community Director
